You've Got a Friend

I have lived in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Virginia, Utah, Florida, Oregon, Texas and Oklahoma. Between kindergarten and 12th grade, I attended nine schools. Needless to say, I have made different friends in each season of life. And while I am incredibly grateful for each of those friends and the impact they have made, there is something special about friends that stand the test of time. My dear friend Ashlee has been in my life for eleven years at this point—through the ups and downs of adolescence, high school and the beginnings of our adult lives. We have seen each other through overalls and scrunchies, crushes and tears, sleepovers and chick flicks, family vacations and death, breakups and revelations. I am so blessed to STILL count her among my very best friends.
